Tour of Missouri Starts Today
I haven't said anything about this recently but today is the day.
Cycling News has coverage and their
preview of the race gives an
overview. They are a bit critical of the date on the calendar.
The Vuelta De Espania (tour of Spain) is still going on right now
as well as some other UCI races both here in the states and in
Europe. But most of the top domestic teams and Canadian teams
are here. The final stage will be a circuit race in St. Louis on
Sunday afternoon. Well perhaps the good thing about this is that
both the Cardinals and the Rams are struggling so perhaps the
attendance at both of these games (which will also be going on
Sunday afternoon) will be diminished. The official web site,

has more information on the course. The biggest stage will be
the Time Trial in Branson. It will most likely provide the best
opportunity for the overall winner to take command of the race.
